The Raven Desktop Wallpaper
One of the reasons I started AtomicMoo.com was for the opportunity to do some creative promotional and graphics work for subjects I had a genuine interest in. Also, I thought a great way draw visitors to the site was to create several free downloadable desktop wallpapers, for your PC or Mac. This one is based off the Edgar Allen Poe poem, “The Raven.” I really enjoyed working on this wallpaper because it gave me the opportunity to not only illustrate a story I’ve always enjoyed, but also a chance to play with typography and composition. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to do more of wallpapers like this one soon.

This is the original sketch. When I took it in to Illustrator to vector over it, I decided to make the raven much larger than the Bust of Pallas. I thought it would make him look more intimidating.
Zentradi Logo Desktop Wallpaper
Another wallpaper I designed for AtomicMoo.com. It based off the Zentradi logo from an old anime cartoon called Robotech. If you know what that is, then you just earned some serious nerd-cred with me. I really enjoyed working on this one because I got to create and play with several Photoshop brushes to give it a worn, aged and damaged look. Below is the original “clean” vector version I initially worked up.
A-OK Desktop Wallpaper
Another promotional wallpaper for AtomicMoo.com. I try to have as much fun as I can with these, even if they end up being a little odd. The idea behind this was that, despite the deranged bunny rabbit, Atomic Moo was still okay for you.

Atomic Moo 3D Wallpaper Experiment
This is something I haven’t put up on Atomic Moo yet… I’m afraid it might damage some eyes… Anyhow, it was fun to learn how to make a stereoscopic 3D wallpaper using Illustrator and Photoshop. I would really like to do more projects that include this type of 3D in them. It has kind of a retro feel that I enjoy, and it is pretty neat when you get it to work right.

Atomic Moo Stencil Desktop Wallpapers
This was a fun project where I took some popular symbols from geek culture and tried to make them look like they were stenciled onto a cement wall. The icons were created in Illustrator, then I took them into Photoshop where I game them a stencil-like look. The backgrounds were created in Photoshop using a bunch of scratch textures and brushes I’ve created and collected these last few years.
